About Our Llamas:

The current llama herd is small but is producing outstanding youngsters. Two llamas in my show survived the meningeal worm in West Virginia, and now this small group of llamas is carrying on the winning tradition of Cabernet Creek Farms.

Pinot Blanc

All my current animals go back to the magnificent Cabernet’s Pinot Blanc. Winner of numerous Best in Shows, Pinot Blanc was the 1999 ALAS National Champion Medium Wool Male. Being a “silky” before anyone ever even knew what they were set the genetics for my line of fleece champions. Pinot Blanc also has exceptional smooth movement, a fantastic disposition and superb conformation that he passed down to all his offspring. I lost Pinot Blanc in 2003, but his offspring carry on the genetics.

Heart to Heart

An incredible female named after my favorite Toby Keith song and the song I chose for the mother/son dance at Garrett’s wedding. She did not disappoint winning 4 Best of Shows in Halter and also completing her Fleece Championship in her first year of showing. She also won Western States Futurity. This is an incredible female who combines both exquisite fleece, great movement, and superb conformation. She is a true representation of a silky llama.

Love Me If You Can

A full sister to Cabernet’s Heart to Heart and the second daughter of Cabernet’s Against All Odd, this girl has started out with a bang, winning six Halter Grand Champions,  a Best of Show and four Fleece Grand Champions before she was 9 months old!!! Lovey earned her ILR and UAP Halter and Fleece Championships before she was 8 months old.

Raize Your Glass

As soon as I got back to Oregon, I called Debby Gremels to see if she still had the male out of
one of my best Pinot Blanc daughters, Cabernet’s Raise Your Glass. She did and hadn’t gelded
him so I luckily got him back as my herdsire! Every baby he has had to date has at least one

Grand Champion in Halter or Fleece, and 5 of the 6 of earned either their ILR Halter or Fleece Championship. Raise Your Glass has 2 Grand Champions and 11 Reserve Champions in Halter plus 2 Grand Champions and 5 Reserve Champions in Fleece alomg with a couple Grand Champions in Novice performance – truly an “all-around” llama and a GREAT herdsire. Selected breedings available for $500.00

Against All Odds

As her name implies she is here against all odds. Both her parents were orphaned before they were 2 months old. She was the surprise baby and when I first saw her stand, I was amazed at how correct she was for a day old baby. Due to my move back to Oregon, she was only shown once and received a Best in Show. She is a fleece Champion based on her shorn fleece and won the 2022 Chardonnay Award at OFFF for the most exquisite fiber. Both her babies have been Best  in Show for Halter and fleece.

 Hope on the Rocks

Hope was the only member of my Championship line to survive West Virginia.  She was born out there and lost her Mother at 6 weeks, but somehow made it.  Shockingly, she accidentally got bred by another orphan (Cabernet’s Margaritaville) when she was only a year old.  Her baby, Cabernet’s Against All Odds (Faith) was my signal that I needed to bring the llamas back to Oregon with me.

ShouldaBeenACowboy

Cowboy (2024) is a full brother to Heart to Heart and LoveMeIf You Can.  He is just starting his show season but was Best of Show both Shorn fleece and Fleece on the Cascade show.  This boy is definitely Stud quality.  Thanks to Jerrika and Kyle Mumford for giving Cowboy his new home – he recently completed his fleece Championship.

 Rodeo Moon

Rodeo is also beginning his show career.  He out of Hope on the Rocks and by LUA The Showman – now standing at Hidden Oaks Llama Ranch.  He has received several Reserve and Grand Champions to date in fleece and Halter.   Rodeo has completed his Halter Championship and is well on his way towards his fleece Championship.  He will be offered for sale at the 2026 Cascade Llama Show and Sale. .
